Tuesday 23rd April is World Book Night. To celebrate, Better Read will be giving away copies of Artemis, by Andy Weir. Andy Weir is the bestselling author of The Martian, which was recently made into a film starring Matt Damon. Artemis is described as “An action-packed, gravity-defying thriller about a criminal who risks her life for independence and money. Jazz is feisty, determined and witty, and you’ll be rooting for her the whole way through.”

To get your free copy of Artemis, look out for our book fairies at Singleton and Bay campus bus stops from 14.00 on the 23rd April.

You can also pick up free copies from the 15th April in Bay Library, Singleton Park Library, South Wales Miners Library and St David’s Park Library. It’s first come, first served, so don’t wait too long to get yours!

Students with a medically attested print disability may be entitled to a copy of Artemis in an accessible format. If you are registered with the Transcription Centre, please contact staff there. They can request a copy via RNIB Bookshare.

Better Read is a Swansea University Libraries project to encourage reading for pleasure to support wellbeing. We’d love to know what you think of Artemis. Let us know in the comments on our blog!
