Our e-books supplied by dawsonera can now be accessed on mobile devices. They are still subject to the publisher’s loan period of 1 or 2 days but repeat downloads are possible. Mobile access requires the free Adobe Reader app (available for Android and iPad/iPhone).

All our e-books can be found in the library catalogue. This link will take you to a sample search for e-books on presentations. As long as you keep the “Retain my current filters” box checked, you can search on other topics and the results will be limited to e-books. Check the link to see where the e-book is from : dawsonera and ebrary are our two main suppliers (ebrary also has a mobile app).

We have updated our E-Books guide (PDF) which covers all three of our E-Book suppliers and has more information on mobile access. If you have any problems with using our e-books (or any comments on the service), please let us know via the usual email: library@swansea.ac.uk

E-lyfrau ar gael ar declynnau symudol

Bellach, mae modd cael gafael ar e-lyfrau a ddarperir gan dawsonera ar declynnau symudol.  Mae cyfnod benthyca’r cyhoeddwr, sef 1 neu 2 ddiwrnod, yn dal yn weithredol, ond mae modd lawrlwytho’r deunydd eto wedyn.  I gael mynediad o declyn symudol, mae angen yr app Adobe Reader, sydd ar gael am ddim ar gyfer teclynnau Android ac iPad/iPhone.

Cewch ddod o hyd i’r cyfan o’n he-lyfrau yng nghatalog y llyfrgell. Bydd y ddolen hon yn mynd â chi i chwiliad enghreifftiol am e-lyfrau ar gyflwyniadau. Cyhyd â’ch bod yn ticio’r blwch “Cadw fy hidlwyr cyfredol”, cewch chwilio am bynciau eraill, a chyfyngir y canlyniadau i e-lyfrau. Cewch edrych ar y ddolen i weld pwy sy’n darparu’r e-lyfr: dawsonera ac ebrary yw ein dau brif gyflenwr (mae gan ebrary app symudol hefyd).

The Citizens Advice Notes (CANS) website is now available off-campus – access information is available on the library catalogue record. You will need to use your Athens account to log in (more information on our website).

CANS has detailed summaries of the laws of England, Wales and Scotland, written in plain English. It is compiled from the original Parliament sources – statutes and statutory instruments and also Codes of Practice and relevant European Directives. It is updated weekly. It clearly differentiates Welsh legislation so is particularly useful for looking at Welsh issues.
