“5 Days of Twitter” is an open online course for staff and students at Swansea University. More and more information about you and your research is being found in bibliographic databases and open websites. It is being viewed by potential employers, funders and other researchers. After this session, you will understand how this information is collated, and know how to ensure that your Research Profile is current, accurate and the best it can be.

This is a practical session in which participants will use a range of tools from Researcher ID in Web of Science through to Impact Story to manage their research identity for greatest impact.

This session will give an overview of online tools that can help raise your research profile. We will look at ways of claiming your researcher identity to link your publications and citations, social networking sites and social media. The aim is to discuss the various options with their pros and cons so you can devise a personal strategy – we will then be running future in-depth, hands-on sessions to help you get going.
