Book are an essential source of information for your university studies. Textbooks are often the key source of background information and important theories for your subject. The library provides access to many print and ebooks.
Each module has a reading list. You can find out what is on your reading list in MyStudies. Your reading list will normally list essential and recommended or background reading.
The reading lists are linked to the library so you can find out how to get hold of any books on your list.
Going beyond your reading list
The best way to find out about the books Swansea University Library has is to use iFind.
You can borrow a book from the library and the loan will auto-renew until you return it or another student requests it. If the book is requested by someone you will receive an email from the Library. You will have 7 days to return it to the library without getting any fines.
It is very important to request the books you want if they are out on loan.
What if the library doesn’t have the book
If you cannot find the book on iFind the Library may not own a copy. If the book you are looking for is on a reading list let the library know so we can purchase it. You can do this in person, by phone or email, or by using this online suggest a book form.
