Mae’r Lyfrgell yma ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe wedi cipio gwobr genedlaethol yng Ngwobrau Marchnata Cymru 2017 (Adran Addysg Uwch) am y pedwaredd tro.  Roedd y gwobrau yn agored i bob gwasanaeth llyfrgell, archif a gwybodaeth yng Nghymru i gydnabod a gwobrwyo marchnata.

Ennillwyd y wobr am y prosiect “Aseiniadau: Goroesi a Ffynnu” a gynhaliwyd yn Llyfrgell Prifysgol Abertawe yn ystod Mis Tachwedd 2016 ac yn fwy ddiweddar ym mis Chwefror 2017. Pwrpas y prosiect oedd i atgoffa myfyrwyr am y gwasanaethau sydd ar gael gan y Llyfrgellwyr tra bod myfyrwyr yn ysgrifennu traethodau, sef:

Buom hefyd yn casglu’ch awgrymiadau ymchwil ac rydym eisioes wedi eu rhannu. Llongyfarchiadau enfawr i bawb cymerodd rhan yn y prosiect yma.

Swansea University ISS has won the national Welsh Libraries Marketing Innovation Award 2013 (HE category) for the third consecutive year.  The awards were open to all library, archive and information services in Wales to recognise and reward marketing innovation.

The award was won for the “Parrots plagiarise…do you?” week held at Swansea University’s Library during November 2012. This week long series of events was designed to promote the 4 styles of referencing used by Undergraduates at Swansea University and to remind students about the importance of avoiding plagiarism and referencing correctly in assignments.  Events included drop-in sessions on referencing, meeting Pryderi our #libraryparrot and providing help and advice on plagiarism.

Lori Havard, Head of Academic Support commented: “We are delighted to have won this award for the third year running.  The week was a huge success due to the enthusiasm, commitment and creativity of all ISS staff.”

The judges said:
“A really creative idea here to solve a major issue for academics and students – so well done for identification of the problem to solve! The parrot device was well constructed and better still used throughout all media and communication – including personal communication – I especially like the ‘teaser’ nature of the campaign – this is a marketing communications trick of the first order – so again well done.”

Mae GGS yma ym Mhrifysgol Abertawe wedi cipio gwobr genedlaethol yng Ngwobrau Arloesedd Marchnata Cymru 2013 (Adran Addysg Uwch) am y trydydd flwyddyn yn olynol.  Roedd y gwobrau yn agored i bob gwasanaeth llyfrgell, archif a gwybodaeth yng Nghymru i gydnabod a gwobrwyo arloesedd ym maes marchnata.

Ennillwyd y wobr am yr wythnos “Parotiaid sy’n llen-lladrata…a ydych chi?” a gynhaliwyd yn Llyfrgell Prifysgol Abertawe yn ystod Mis Tachwedd 2012.  Pwrpas y prosiect oedd i atgoffa myfyrwyr am bwysigrwydd osgoi llen-lladrata ac i gyfeirnodi yn gywir yn eu aseiniadau.  Roedd y prosiect hefyd yn gyfle i hybu y 4 arddull o gyfeirnodi mae myfyrwyr israddedig yn cael ei argymell i ddefnyddio.  Cynhaliwyd sessiynau ar gyfeirnodi, cyfle i gwrdd a Pryderi #libraryparrot ac roedd staff y llyfrgell ar gael i rhoi cyngor a help ar sut i osgoi llen-lladrata.

This year’s Swansea University Marketing Conference was held on the 24th May and in the inaugural University Marketing Awards, ISS have won the award for Marketing Team of the Year.

This is the 3rd Marketing Award the Marketing Team at ISS have won, having previously won the Higher Education category in the Welsh National Libraries Marketing Innovation Awards in 2011 and in 2012.

ISS aren’t perhaps seen by the University as an out and out marketing team, but they are heavily involved in promoting their services to staff, students and visitors.

Lori Havard, Head of Academic Support said “We are so thrilled to have won this award, in a University where there are many outstanding marketing teams across campus it is an honour that ISS has been singled out as Marketing Team of the year.”

ISS were praised for the Celebrating Swansea University Authors Project, which involves published authors from the University speaking on short videos about their books and what inspired them to write.

Chris Marshall, Strategic Marketing Officer for Swansea University said “This project is a great example of a well-executed campaign, which makes good use of technology to engage with audiences.  It is exactly this sort of marketing innovation that helps the University to engage more effectively with its stakeholders”

Cynhaliwyd Cynhadledd Marchnata Prifysgol Abertawe ar 24ain Mai, ac yng ngwobrau agoriadol Marchnata’r Brifysgol mae GGS wedi ennill gwobr Tîm Marchnata y Flwyddyn.

Dyma’r 3ydd Gwobr Marchnata mae’r Tîm Marchnata yn GGS wedi’u ennill, mae nw eisioes wedi ennill categori Addysg Uwch yng ngwobrau Arloesedd Marchnata Llyfrgelloedd Cymru yn 2011 a 2012.

Effallai nid yw GGS i’w gweld gan y Brifysgol fel Tîm Marchnata, ond maint o hyd yn marchnata eu gwasanaethau i staff, myfyrwyr ac ymwelwyr.

Dywedodd Lori Havard, Pennaeth Cefnogaeth Academaidd “Rydym mor falch i ennill y wobr hon, mae’n fraint bod GGS wedi ennill Tîm Marchnata y Flwyddyn mewn Prifysgol lle mae cymaint o dîmau marchnata talentog ar draws y campws.”

Canmolwyd GGS am y Prosiect Dathlu Awduron Prifysgol Abertawe, prosiect a rhoddodd gyfle i awduron y Brifysgol creu fideos byr yn siarad am eu llyfrau ac beth wnaeth eu ysbrydoli i ysgrifennu.

Dywedodd Chris Marshall, Swyddog Strategol Marchnata Prifysgol Abertawe “Mae’r prosiect hon yn esiampl gwych o ymgyrch marchnata dda, sy’n gwneud defnydd da o ddefnyddio technoleg i rhyngweithio gyda gynulleidfa.  Dyma’r math o farchnata arloesol sy’n helpu’r Brifysgol i rhyngweithio yn fwy effeithiol a’u rhanddeiliaid.”
